Gray is situated in the Northern Territory. The suburban community is roughly 15 kilometres away from the capital city of Darwin. Its name was taken from William Henry Gray, who colonised South Australia during the 1830s. The suburban community of Gray is geographically bounded by several landscapes and seascapes, such as Middle Point, Howards Peninsula and Channel Island, among others. Gray has adjacent tourist spots as well. Some of these are Wayoutback Australian Safaris, which offers adventures along the East Coast of Australia, and Howard Springs Nature Park, which is a bushland oasis where visitors can explore and relax. The vicinity of Gray is mainly connected by the Darwin River train station and the Darwin International Airport. Town visitors who wish to spend time in the area may choose from various nearby hotels, like Quest Palmerston Serviced Apartments, Discovery Holiday Parks Darwin and Stayover in Darwin, to name a few.
