Farrar is a small suburb in Palmerston located southeast of Darwin’s central business district. Before Palmerston was divided into suburbs, Farrar was part of Gunn. Farrar was named after John Farrar, one of the pioneers in the Northern Territory.
One of the main attractions near Farrar is the Palmerston Water Park that is open to locals and visitors who are looking for a good time with the family. The water park has a 14-metre high waterslide, a wet play area for toddlers and children, a café and shaded barbecue areas for the family. Another popular attraction near Farrar is Flight Path Golf & Outdoor Recreation, which consists of a unique golf course, laser clay shooting and a target archery range.
