On the 28th of April in 1956, Taree Railway Institute Bowling Club was officially opened by R. Winsor ESQ, the Commissioner for Railways. Since then, we have become the go-to spot for lawn bowls, events and delicious food. Our newly renovated Dining Car bistro is bound to have something to your liking, with an assortment of beverages and moreish meals. Watch one of the local games we sponsor at our club bar or try your hand at competition or social bowling. We provide a courtesy bus from Friday to Sunday, so that you can enjoy the full experience of our restaurant, bar and bowls.

Where social players are always welcome Dr Hurdzan utilised the undulating topography to create a wonderful course that traverses rugged terrain with severe elevation changes. Several green complexes sit in little amphitheatres, buried in the hillside beneath extravagant home sites. 'The Boathouse' is proudly situated at the end of Endeavour Place in Taree on the top level of the rowing club overlooking the mighty Manning River. With uninterrupted views from the inside out to the large verandah spanning from Dumaresq Island in the Northeast on the left, to the iconic Martin Bridge and the greater Manning Valley to the far right in the West, it's the perfect backdrop for weddings, conferences, meetings, training seminars, family functions, school formals and special events. Hire this exquisitely designed function space which includes a large, air-conditioned Reception Hall with modern facilities, a spacious kitchen, bar & service area, crockery, cutlery & glassware to cater for up to 120 people, plus a private boardroom for smaller working groups. All fully accessible with lift & ramp access. This BYO venue is available for hire from 7am to midnight daily for anywhere from 2 hours to longer multi-day events.

The Winning Post Function Centre overlooking the beautiful Bushland Drive Racecourse in Taree is the ideal venue for your special wedding day. Weddings from 50 to 300 people can be comfortably cater for with various room configurations possible to make your room very intimate and special for you and your guests. We would be pleased to show you examples of how other brides and grooms have made their wedding day experience unique and set out to suit their particular requirements. The function centre is also the ideal venue for your conference or special event as broad as your imagination allows. In addition to the main function centre room there are two other function rooms that can comfortably seat 100 people for a sit down dinner and these rooms are regularly booked by organisations conducting training days, business conferences, lunches and dinners. To add to the three function rooms we have vast expanses open air covered areas which really do allow you to think as 'broad as your imagination allows' when seeking a venue for that special large event or occasion.
