Bentley Park is a suburb in the Cairns Region of Queensland. It is 9 km’s south of Cairns City, bypassed by the Bruce Highway to the west and neighboured by the suburbs of Mount Sheridan and Edmonton.
Bentley Park is mostly residential with the major landmark in town being the Bentley Park College, a co-educational, state run school from preschool to 12th grade, first opened in 1997. St Therese’s Primary School was the first catholic school established in the Edmonton area in 1929.
Bentley Park has community support services including Centenary Market Place for local conveniences also takeaways, restaurants, and medical centre facilities.
The town has a range of resident parks and sporting ovals and a swim school.
To the south on the outskirts of Bentley Park is the Walker Road Sporting and Recreation Precinct, home to the Edmonton Leisure Centre supporting a range of field sports.
