Mundingburra is a suburb south-west of Townsville in Queensland. Situated on the banks of the Ross River, it is predominately a residential suburb.
Mundingburra is also an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in Australia in Queensland. The seat is one of four within the Townsville urban area in North Queensland.
The suburb has 3 major schools within its boundaries, these include, The Cathedral School of St Anne and St James, Mundingburra State School and St Josephs Catholic School. Local conveniences such as a medical centre, post office and a local shopping centre exist along with fast food outlets and a variety of accommodation options for visitors.

It also encompasses the Cape York Peninsula Collection, one of the largest collections of Pandanus and the Tropical Orchard, a haven for locals and visitors alike.
