A village under the local government areas of Guyra Shire and Armidale Dumaresq Shire in the Northern Tablelands Region of New South Wales, Ebor is situated 46 kilometres west of Dorrigo, 74 kilometres east of Armidale, 78 kilometres east of Guyra, 559 kilometres north of the state capital of Sydney and 515 kilometres south of Queensland’s capital of Brisbane. The main settlement sits along the Grafton Road just past the Waterfall Way, touted as the most beautiful tourist drive in New South Wales and third in Australia. The town centre has a post office, a coffee shop, a hotel/motel and a primary school, while the surrounding rural lands are excellent for sheep and cattle grazing. Tourist attractions within and around Ebor include the Ebor Falls, Wollombi Falls, the New England National Park, Guy Fawkes River Nature Reserve, Cathedral Rock National Park and the Dutton Trout Hatchery.
