Wangi Wangi is a suburb under the local government area of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales. The suburb is a well-known tourist attraction, particularly drawing families because of the beautiful views and the wide array of nature-based activities that the place offers. One such attraction is the Wangi Point Lakeside Holiday Park, which is located between Lake Macquarie and the Wangi Point Flora and Fauna Reserve. The park is popular because of its untouched foreshore and bush setting. Fishing, canoeing, swimming and windsurfing are just a few of the activities that one can enjoy in the park. Wangi Wangi is also known for being the home of William Dobell, an Australian artist who won the Archibald Prize for his portrait of Joshua Smith.
