Stubbo is a town within the local government area of the Mid-Western Regional Council in the Central West region of New South Wales. The council was the result of a merger between the former Mudgee Shire Council and sections of the Merriwa and Rylstone Shires in 2004. The Wyaldra Shire was also incorporated in the Mid-Western Regional Council.
