The village of Robertson is a large town in the New South Wales region, specifically located in the Southern Highlands of Wingecarribee Shire. Famous for its spring festival, Robertson is one of the five major towns in the Shire. It is located on the Illawarra escarpment, which is an elevated plateau. The full-length movie, “Babe” was filmed on location in Robertson. Named after Sir John Robertson, New South Wales former Premier, the town used to go by the moniker, “Yarrawa Bush.” From the coast, travellers need to traverse about 35 kilometres to get to the village. The Robertson Natural reserve is an important local landmark. One of the major industries in Robertson was cheese production. Today, the town is best known for its thriving potato industry.
