We are a team of passionate individuals who have been in an industry where often the companies are large and the individuals are not the focus. We want to change that. We attract like-minded team members that want to help us to change that. That’s why you won’t see our corporate team in a swanky head office in a city somewhere, we are in one of our community facilities, interacting and communicating with our support team and our Participants on a daily basis.

Black & White Cabs has a long and proud history of providing transportation services in Australia beginning in the heart of three taxi companies. Brisbane’s first taxi company lives on today within the Black & White Cabs family. The Ascot Taxi Service was started in 1919 by Edmund William, Henry Beckman and Edward Roland Videan, from the Ascot Garage on Racecourse Road, with only one vehicle. By 1924 the fleet had grown to four vehicles; three Willys Knight tourers and an Overland, the first sedan taxi in Brisbane. At the cutting edge of innovation, Ascot Taxi Service was the leading company to introduce two-way radios in taxis. Queensland can proudly and legitimately claim to being home to the greenest taxi fleets in the world. Hybrid vehicles now make up over 80% of Black & White Cabs taxis, which is contributing to a decline in the amount of pollutants being emitted into the environment and greatly reducing our carbon footprint. The hybrid fleet, including Prius, Camry and eco-diesel maxi cabs, is producing 80,000 tons less carbon making our taxis run cleaner and have better fuel economy.

Community Nurses is a team of experienced professional and compassionate caregivers who are dedicated to provide you with optimal care to achieve your satisfaction. Flexible and dignified support is provided in-home and in the community to individuals with a disability. We provide excellence in all aspects of care ranging from nursing services, high intensity daily personal activities, respite care, transport, and community participation. Services are currently offered to individuals from 7 years and above in Toowoomba and surrounding areas. Individuals will be treated with respect and assigned a Case Manager who will collaboratively plan, facilitate, and advocate for options and services that meet your holistic needs. We carefully consider your individual uniqueness, diverse, special needs, choices and we go an extra mile to support aspirations and improve your quality of life. We care for your independence, safety, freedom, choices, health lifestyle while empowering you.

Community Nurses is established to support people living with disabilities and their families in Toowoomba and the surrounding region of Australia. Our team of Support Workers and Registered Nurses are here to assist with clinical and non-clinical needs.
