WARNNG! DO NOT go to Rutherford Trailers for work to your trailer. The low-quality of their work has shown itself to be a PUBLIC RISK. The facts: The bike rack they mounted to our trailer last week FELL OFF after only 2 hours of driving with only 20kg of small bikes on it. We narrowly avoided a serious road accident. People who witnessed the damage and the failed 'welds' used the words, "ridiculous", "UNSAFE" and "cheap" to describe the workmanship. The 'welds' were so small they could barely be seen and the hardware chosen and the manner by which they tried to to secure the bike rack was totally inappropriate - it was destined to fail. Even my children could see it was never going to work. I thought about doing it myself, but wanted a professional job because of the nature of the loads and risks involved.
