Poona is a suburban town located in the Bundaberg & Wide Bay region of Queensland. The area is home to the Poona National Park, which is a wildlife sanctuary of a few species of endangered animals and plants. The wildlife refuge is primarily nestled between bodies of water such as rivers and the sea. Near the park lies the Poona Palms Caravan Park. Aside from parks and caravans, Poona’s local tourism industry thrives from several recreational facilities and tourist attractions from neighbouring towns.
