In Queensland, tenants can be made responsible for water consumption at the property they’re renting. There are a number of guidelines around this however, such as: 1. The property must be individually metered 2. The rental property must be “water efficient” 3. The tenancy agreement must state that the tenant needs to pay for water consumption For the property to be deemed “water efficient” the lessor/agent must be able to demonstrate the presence of water efficient devices, such as providing a copy of a WELS certificate - only able to be issued by a licensed plumber (like Newk's Plumbing).

Your property has low water pressure. What should you do? Firstly, check if all your taps and outlets have a similar problem. If only one or two taps have low pressure, the aerators may be blocked and need a clean.
