Highly recommend Watkins Electrical for all your electrical needs. Rick and Oakley were professional, friendly and offered great alternative solutions to what we needed done. My lengthy list of needs, relocating a solar panel, installation of new power outlets and light fixtures, was done in a timely manner and looks great. We will definitely have them out again when we do further home improvement's. Thanks again Rick and Oakley.

Enquired about a Generator switch to be fitted at our home in Bauple via the Watkins Electrical website, was called back fairly quick regarding the job. I was asked my location and to confirm the work required. I was given a "quote estimate" of $400 give or take. No worries I thought seems fair, work can be done in a few weeks they said. Booked in and the night before they called to say they can't make it after id took a day off work to be there. They turned up the following day and fitted the switch. I then got my bill for $720. I was shocked as they has said it was around $400 !!! Spoke with the office who told me id been charged for 2.5 hrs at trade rate plus 2.5 hrs at an apprentice wage . The $720 included travel and parts plus tradesman and apprentice to fit a generator changover switch. So what happened to the $400 I got quoted on the phone ? apparently nobody can remember that part. Now they are coming to remove it as My $400 cash isn't good enough

We're disappointed to read your negative comment about our business and services that our experienced and professional staff completed for you given that you had advised us of your frustrations of not being able to get contractors to attend at your house as it involved travel time of approx 2 hours round trip from town. We would like to point out the following:- 1. During the initial phone call with us, we explained that we currently have a 6-8 week wait for written quotes but were happy to receive a rough verbal estimate. 2. You were advised at the time that it was a ‘rough estimate’ based on the minimum costs to complete the works you required and an ‘unseen’ job not including any travel time. 3. The job was provisionally booked in and you were advised that it was not a confirmed booking as we were fully booked for the next 3 weeks. 4. All our staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate your requirements in completing your requested works expeditiously.
