Proserpine Veterinary Surgery

A great big thank you to the lovely Kelsey and Faye from Proserpine Vets. I contacted them earlier today and spoke to Kelsey for advise, as my heavily pregnant goat had gone into labour this morning and unfortunately we lost the first born Kidd, but the second wasn’t to far behind. Many hours latter I had to contact them again and got the lovely Faye. I had concerns as this is my first season for kidding and thought I could feel a 3rd baby, mumma was giving up and her placenta had started to be delivered. After a short conversation and carful guided instructions from Faye , we soon discovered there was infact a 3rd Kidd but it was breached. If it wasn’t for the calm voice of Faye guiding me through how to deliver the breached Kidd into the world, I am certain that I would have not only lost the first born but mum and the 3rd baby as well. So thank you so much to the wonderful Kelsey and Faye from Proserpine Vets, mum and both kids are alive and well

After discovering my little man Bruno unable to walk and shaking early Thurday morning I immediately contacted after hours and was put through to Faye who advised to bring him straight in. I was met by the nurse who wasted no time in reviewing him. Faye contacted me shortly after leaving him and was thorough and honest in her findings. A paralysis tick was discovered inside his mouth. He was given a 50/50 chance of survival. The next 24 hours was a roller-coaster of emotion but I was reassured by Faye and her team that all that needed and could be done was being applied. An 11am call from Faye to update me was a testament to her dedication and genuine caring of our pets. He pulled through the night and on Saturday I was able to bring him home to monitor. I cannot thank Faye and the team enough I would have been lost without this little guy. Bruno and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Oh how I have missed those cuddles over the last 2 days.

So thankful for Faye and Kelsey and all the staff at Proserpine Vets. Our 9 yr old girl Lulu was very sick when we arrived at the surgery. Kelsey took control and thanks to her and Faye my little pup is on the road to recovery. Faye is so special she's a very caring person who really does love what she does. On our pups first night at the surgery after her operation Faye stayed with her until midnight, giving us a call at midnight to let us know she was doing OK. Everyday after for three days Faye rang twice a day with an update. So reassuring. They treated my pup and us with the upmost respect and compassion. Even now after our pup is hone Faye rang on Sunday to check her progress and again first thing this morning. All I can say is THANK YOU ALL. YOU ARE THE BEST VETS. I will not hesitate to call again if ever needed. I highly recommend Proserpine Vets to everyone. They are GREAT😀
