Millner is a suburb located around 10.34 kilometres north of the city of Darwin in Northern Territory. It was named after Dr. James S. Millner, the medical practitioner and administrator in the 1869 expedition of George W. Goyder that established the first colony at Port Darwin. Today, Millner is seen as one of the important areas of growth among the northern suburbs, and is the site of the second largest shopping complex in Darwin called Homemaker Village. The suburb is also home to the only velodrome (track cycling arena) in Darwin. The Darwin International Airport is also close to the suburb.
