Bridgman is a small town within the local government area of Hunter Region in New South Wales. Also known as Hunter Valley, the region contains the Hunter River which is a major river that flows mostly south and then east. The Hunter Valley is a favourite among wine enthusiasts because of the wineries and vineyards in the area. Bridgman is a drive away from Pokolbin, which is known as the centre of the Hunter Valley Wine Country. The region, which ranks sixth among the most visited places in Australia, is also popular with tourists because of the many activities held in the area all-year round. Horse lovers would enjoy the Upper Hunter area, which is the largest breeding area in the world.
