Erina is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales between Gosford and the Pacific Ocean at Terrigal. Central Coast Highway is the main arterial road, which meets at Terrigal Drive and continues through to the ocean entrance crossing the water divide between the town and the suburb of East Gosford. Erina is approximately 82 kilometres from Sydney.
This thriving town is the Central Coast’s leading commercial centre and the hub of the city of Gosford.
It boasts one of the largest shopping centres in Australia, Erina Fair, which contains over 330 shops including a Woolworths, Target, Aldi, JB HiFi Super Store, Hoyts Cinema Complex, and a Fitness First Gymnasium. It is a major attraction for residents throughout the whole Central Coast.
There is also a light industrial area and homemakers hub including Harvey Norman and Bunnings and other major retail outlets.
3 schools service the area along with multiple other independent businesses and community support facilities such as childcare and aged care.
The locality has a number of parks and green spaces including Erina Park and Rose Recreational Park, which sits at the Peninsula end of the suburb and fills a large expanse of green reserve land.
Erina is in close proximity to the Kincumba Mountain Reserve, which features caves and rock formations, palm groves, wildflowers, and historic Aboriginal carvings and axe-grinding grooves. The Reserve is 200 metres above sea level at its highest point with picnic and barbeque sites for visitors.
