At Proserpine Vet Surgery, we care for all animals, great and small. We offer medical care, advice, surgical needs, consultation, husbandry and grooming services for pets throughout the Whitsundays. We have a range of medicines and medical equipment. We carry out general operations or surgeries and medical procedures too. This includes caesarians, cryosurgery and cosmetic surgery. Additionally, our Whitsunday vets can help with blood work, health profiles, weight loss, arthritis, pet merchandise, puppy pre-school, equine dentistry and more. We now offer a cattery and full time groomer too. Toxicities and viruses is a scary topic, but our staff can detect an issue and help your pet.

Julie is a vet for animal welfare reasons. Not chasing $$$. All of the animals love her. I've had her out to sort out a difficult kidding (goat birth). Geld a pony. Treat dogs with tick paralysis. Face-lift for a Shar-Pei. Treat a premie baby goat. Pts a favourite family dog. In every encounter she's always kind, compassionate, caring and efficient. Dogs race each other to get into the surgery and onto her lap!

Whitsunday Veterinary SurgeryProfessional, compassionate, kind. Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills with calm clear explanation of my pets health care plan and options for best outcomes. Fab support for my dog’s health, tailored to his co- morbidities giving me realistic expectations of how to manage his care in old age. Lots of tissues and genuine kindness and care given to me as we approach the chosen time for euthanasia. Thankyou for your wholistic family care.. (pet and human). Mark has been my “go to” vet since 1996 and the practice is in good hands with his vet team. Excellent vets. Much admiration for the vet nurses and their multitasking vet skills: surgical assistant, immunisation-schedule knowledge, local knowledge of seasonal pests and diseases in the tropics affecting pets, preventative medicine, emergency care, receptionist, cleaner, financial advice, laundry, sterilisation of instruments, surgical packs, counsellors to emotionally needy pet owners with the smile and patience. Thanks again
