Coolum Surfing School is a family owned and operated business by Chris and Genevieve Kendall for more than 12 years. They specialise in private surf lessons and can cater for everyone's needs, individuals, families, school camps and even a stressed out corporate who want to wash away their worries. Learn to surf with one of Coolum Surfing School's local and professional surf instructors (male or female) all very experienced and competent surfers who's passion is passing on the stoke of surfing. Learn to surf, intermediate to advanced coaching: Coolum Surfing School offer lessons for the total beginner through to advance level surfing. With the use of our video analysis and their highly skilled and experience surf instructors Coolum Surfing School will have you improving your surfing in no time. They also have a professional photographer that will capture your rides and have them edited and stored straight onto your own recycled bamboo USB stick so you can take your surfing memories home with you. Coolum Surfing School have 2 hour beginner surf lesson every day from 9 to 11am, where you can join in with others to learn the basics, discounts available for 3 and 5 lesson packages. Additionally there is a 1.5hr private surf lesson is the best tuition available, you get to choose the day and time. The private lesson is available to individuals or a group of friends or family. We can cater this lesson to your needs. All equipment including wetsuits is supplied so all you need is a towel, swimmers and a smile! Coolum Surfing School use safe soft learner boards, and have a vast range of boards to suit all types of body sizes and abilities. The Vegemite Surf Groms programs are offered all year round, a national junior development surfing program that encourages kids to participate in surfing around Australia. Coolum Surfing School instructors support the Surf Groms from level 1 to level 5 of Safe Surfing. Coolum Surfing School offers Surf Groms programs before and after school, weekends and holidays programs.

If you prefer you can combine a River Rush and Eco Tour or River and Ocean Tour for an exhilarating 80 km adventure! Ocean tour- This is the ultimate jet ski experience where you get a whole different perspective of the Sunshine Coast. Your experienced guide will teach you riding techniques and the finer points of crossing a bar and ocean riding prior to departure. We then cruise past the Maroochy River islands to the river mouth, where we cross the bar before heading up the coast to Old Woman Island stopping for a little shark spotting along the way. We then head across the bay to Point Cartwright past Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland before crossing the bar again and making our way back along the river. We regularly see sharks, dolphins, turtles, rays and schools of tuna on this tour as well as whales during their migration.
