Coolum Surfing School have 2 hour beginner surf lesson every day from 9 to 11am, where you can join in with others to learn the basics, discounts available for 3 and 5 lesson packages. We then cruise past the Maroochy River islands to the river mouth, where we cross the bar before heading up the coast to Old Woman Island stopping for a little shark spotting along the way. We then head across the bay to Point Cartwright past Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland before crossing the bar again and making our way back along the river. We regularly see sharks, dolphins, turtles, rays and schools of tuna on this tour as well as whales during their migration.
