Flying High Bird Park offers a haven for thousands of both exotic and Australian native birds. Make friends with lots of our feathered residents which are keen to be in a selfie with you. At Flying High Bird Park you have that up close and personal experience with lots of colourful birds as you wonder through the gardens of this 6.5 acre bird park. At Flying High Bird Park, we are working hard to ensure that our wildlife will be around for generations. We have a very successful breeding program for many of our native animals. Many of our Australian birds have declined to very low numbers and are now rarely seen. Our native birds spend a lot of time feeding on the ground where feral cats and foxes can easily catch them to eat. Also habitat loss is not only the trees or grasses for nesting, but in some cases their complete food source disappears. By visiting Flying High Bird Park you are helping us to continue our wildlife conservation.

Childers Arts Space (CHARTS) features exhibitions from both local and visiting artists nationally, locally and internationally. The art gallery is situated upstairs alongside the Palace Memorial.

Marianne Lethbridge and Edward Murray took up the development of this vineyard on 12 October, 2007. In three short years they have transformed a small hobby farm into a recognized tourist destination. There is a myriad of activities available to visitors; starting with award - winning wines of excellence and a manicured six acre working vineyard and including an elegant tasting room incorporating art and sculpture, an attractive al fresco eatery, gift and gourmet gallery, heritage play area, heirloom herb and vegetable gardens, animal patting farm and a sculpture walk. Planted in 2000, this organic vineyard nestles between the gentle slopes of the fertile and productive valleys of the Isis fruit growing area. The verdant surroundings and pleasant climate give rise to a place of peace and restful beauty where several varieties of red and white grapes are grown along with tranquil gardens and a mixed fruit orchard. The property lies only two minutes from the Bruce Highway along the North Isis Road and is very clearly signposted along a quality bitumen road. The work is on-going and the owners and their well-trained staff work tirelessly on the property creating a unique wine - growing and tourism destination. Their wines are medal winners and so well regarded that they are now very much sought after.

The big orange fruit barn is a tourist destination that provides ripened citrus fruit, gifts, Devonshires, coffee and light meals.

The Gayndah Museum operated by the Gayndah and District Historical Society Inc. is housed in what was the very first brick house built in Gayndah and our displays let you see what family life was like in rural Queensland during the second half of the 19th Century. We also have an extensive collection of photographs taken during the early days of Gayndah and they provide a chance to look at the way the township functioned and the people interacted with one another. Many of the photos in our collection depict life on the land when much of the hard work was done by men and horses. These rare fresh water fish are survivors from prehistoric times and our Lung Fish display has been recommended as the best display in Queensland. Not only do we have an interpretive display but we also have two live lung fish for you to see. The Museum also boasts a fine collection of various vintage vehicles, tractors, steam engines and other equipment ranging from rare trucks and tractors through to stationery steam engines from mills and even warships. Many are in operating condition and the Gayndah Museum holds regular steam days throughout the year.

A folk museum which comprises 8 buildings in Bligh street. The rise & Shine Cottage, previously shops then a residence, displays a parlour, bedroom, general store & photographs, also documents relating to mining, forestry, dairying, town, school and family history.

Kilkivan Bush Camping & Caravan Park is known for its unspoilt tranquillity and abundant birdlife. If you would like to hideaway & recharge, have a yarn under shady gums or relax by a campfire under the stars. Up to 24 people can be accommodated in the camping huts. There is an covered area which includes a camp kitchen. You can cater for yourselves, or with notice given, you can be catered for from our own commercial kitchen.
