Humpty Doo & Rural Area Golf Club logo

Open

565 Pioneer Dr, Humpty Doo NT

The Humpty Doo & Rural Area Golf Club began on a 5-acre block owned by Lindsay and Elaine Creek, where locals played on a 4-hole sand green course. Later, land was acquired off Pioneer Drive to build a full 18-hole course. Over time, the club gained many members, and volunteers worked hard clearing bushland to establish the current 9-hole layout. The original clubhouse was very basic, with a shadecloth roof and a roofless emergency-use toilet. The first official competition involved repeated play over four holes. The club has grown steadily, thanks to ongoing community support and volunteer efforts.
