Oriental Place is a locally owned family business servicing the Hervey Bay area since 1989. Situated in beautiful Scarness, directly opposite the beach, children's play area and caravan park, the Oriental Palace offers a unique dining experience. The recipes have been handed down through the family for generations, with the sole intention of providing flavourful food and consistent quality at a reasonable price. Many of the locals visit our restaurant on a weekly basis, requesting our restaurants' signature duck dishes, created by Chef Gary Bong three years ago. These duck dishes are slow cooked with Chinese herbs, de-boned with a crispy skin. Our restaurant is fully licensed with B.Y.O wine only.

“My husband took me for Mother's Day, love the food and the service , we didn't have to wait long for drinks and entree, we always go there for a meal. Douglas, Loretta and the staff are very friendly. I had pork ribs and my husband had Mongolian lamb, the deep fried ice cream is so good.”
