Originally opened in 1975, Mackay Child Care Centre offers nurturing long day care services for children between 0 and 6 years of age. Since 1989, Birralee Childcare centre has been providing the families of Mackay with a 'happy place for children' to develop and learn. At Birralee Child Care Centre we understand that learning through play is the best way to allow children to develop at their own pace.Our dedicated Educators go beyond and above to ensure a holistic learning program is provided for all children, meaning we provide a program that engages and extends every child's social, emotional, physical, creative and cognitive development. Birralee Childcare is registered to provide care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, between the hours of 7am to 6pm. We also provide a Queensland approved kindergarten program, run by our highly dedicated Early Childhood Teacher. Our kindergarten program runs during school terms, 8.40am to 2.40 pm. Your kindergarten child is also cared for before and after these hours by Educators working with the Early Childhood Teacher, this format allows you the benefit of kindergarten with the ease of drop off and pick up times that suit you. We at Birralee understand that you are the child's first teacher and therefore value your input. We have an open door policy and encourage your participation. You can be as active as you choose and participate within the program, fundraising or on the management committee. Our Educators provide a positive and inclusive program, where your child will have the opportunity to participate and contribute to their environment. Educators value your child as a individual and will develop relationships with you and your child that will ensure mutual respect and trust.
