absolute lifesavers

Being a tenant in a rental property and lost the Daikin split system 4 weeks ago I cannot appreciate the crew at Precision Air more! They are life savers. Olivia on the office phone was lovely to deal with on 4-5 separate occasions, all the guys who came all the way to Maitland area multiple times were top notch every time. Cory went above and beyond to make sure he left my house with a working air conditioner and called to make sure the unit stuck it out before traveling back to central coast. The advice that all the techs provided for air conditioning choices when we finish building our house was brilliant and I commend everyone's performance at Precision! Thanks again for the great service and workmanship

Common questions about air conditioning

Do I need to regas a residential air conditioner?

While car air conditioners need regassing, residential units shouldn’t need to unless there’s a leak. Cooling issues need a technician to inspect.

Will air conditioning reduce humidity?

Some air conditioners will have a dehumidification setting, which can be turned on. Ask your technician if this is a must-have feature for you.

What air conditioning system is best?

As it depends on the size of the space, type of building and what you want the unit to do, it’s best to ask an air con technician.

How long does it take to install an air conditioner?

Typically, a single air conditioner takes between 2 to 3 hours. A residential ducted system can take up to a day.

Do I want inverted or non-inverter air conditioning?

There are benefits to both types of units, such as the running cost of a non-inverter and how quiet an inverter tends to be. Explore both options.

Where is the best place to install an air conditioner?

The general rule is away from heat sources, such as ovens and sunlight for low running costs. It’s also advised to install above head height.

Can air conditioners be used in winter?

If your air conditioner is reverse cycle, it can both cool and warm your home, so can be used during winter.

Why is my air conditioner leaking water?

Leaking water can simply mean a humid environment or may indicate a dirty air filter, blocked drain or other issue. A technician can help.

Why is my air conditioner not turning on?

Save yourself the hassle of going through a list of problems and call a technician. It could be a filter problem or something else.

What type of air conditioner is good for high ceilings?

HVAC may be an option. Whatever system you choose, it will need a high output, and you may want ceiling fans to improve airflow.

How long does it take to install an air conditioner?

On average, a split system takes about half a day and ducted around 2 days, give or take on the size of the property.

What are the different types of air conditioning units?

The three main types of air conditioners are split-system, multi-split and ducted. An air-con tech will help you choose the right one for your home.

What air conditioner is the quietest?

Modern split-system air conditioners are known for being quiet. A unit with a wide airflow range and multiple fan speeds is said to be quieter too.

Can air conditioners cool and heat?

If your air conditioner has a reverse-cycle feature, it will be able to cool and heat your home to your preferences.

The place to find the best air conditioning in Central Coast.

Keeping cool in summer is a breeze with a Central Coast home air conditioning system. Local specialists supply and install quality air conditioning for a wide range of homes, apartments, lifestyles and budgets. Technicians are experienced in large or small systems and can repair brands inside or outside warranty. Experts will guide you through different styles and their capabilities. They can measure any area for the unit size required and can explain the differences in machine efficiency to help you make the right purchase. At your initial consultation, a technician can also explain why placement is vital to the overall cooling effect, and why there are certain places where your machine should never be situated. Split, ducted, window or portable, there are different types of systems that have uses for a variety of circumstances. Ducted air conditioning might be the most efficient choice overall, but it won’t be suitable for someone who just wants to cool or warm a single room. An expert can help you figure out your basic requirements and what features you need. For most homes, ducted, also known as central air conditioning, can be the most efficient. A ducted system involves a large compressor outside the building, an internal evaporative unit and ducts that bring conditioned air to various areas through vents. These are excellent for controlling the temperature of your entire home and can often come out cheaper to install and run than multiple mini-split systems and window units. The vents and controls are discreetly installed, blending in with the home, as well. Wall-hung or multi-head split air conditioners are ductless and are a popular choice as they’re usually less expensive to install than a ducted system. They consist of two units, one inside and one outside. Split air conditioners are more efficient than window or portable units—if installed properly. Linking together with pipes rather than ducts, split systems are able to efficiently cool or heat every some a single small room, to several large rooms throughout your home. Portable air conditioning systems have low up-front costs and are handy if you move houses a lot and have only a small area involved. However, these may cost you more for electricity than alternatives. These work by drawing in air and then returning cooled air to the room. Window air conditioners are relatively inexpensive to buy and install but they are not cheap to run. Designed to fit into the window of a room, they are usually popular with those who rent, as they can be easily dismantled. They work in cycles, turning on to cool a room and switching off when the room reaches the correct temperature. There can be wide variations in quality and brands. A Central Coast home air conditioning specialist can advise on Daikon, Braemer, Actron Air, Seeley, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, LG, Fujitsu, Carrier and Kelvinator. A qualified local consultant is waiting for your call.
