Newcastle Float Centre are Newcastle’s longest established Float Centre. That is to say that over 10 years ago, we setup Apollo Float Tanks in Newcastle. We offer a down to earth approach to health & wellbeing and with this purpose in mind, we have made available other complimentary modalities. Our services include Sensory Deprivation or Float Therapy, & Hypno-floating. We also offer Infrared Sauna, Salt Therapy, & Remedial or Relaxation Massage. What is a float tank?
A flotation tank is a large fibreglass capsule, that contains 350 kgs of Epsom salt and water to a depth of 40 cms and heated to the same temperature of our skin at 34.5 degrees. This creates a zero gravity environment and allows your mind and body to drift into deep relaxation without the usual sensory input and overload from our modern-day pace of life.
Do i need to close the lid?
We also have an open pool For you to experience the best possible state of relaxation, you first need to ensure that you are comfortable in your surroundings. If this means that you need to start your session with the lid open, you can, as you are always in full control of your session and can re-adjust as you desire. If you leave the lid open, you may find that the room is not completely dark
