Lisa Pollard is a local Yoga teacher operating in the Newcastle area. Lisa is a Yoga and Meditation Teacher with more than 27 years of self practice and teaching experience, in educational, corporate, medical and organisational settings. She has been facilitating 8-week Mindfulness-based interventions since 2007, including MBSR, MB-Stillness Meditation and MB-Restorative Yoga. Lisa feels Yoga is an embodied organic practice that explores the interconnectedness of movement and stillness, in the spirit of self-care. Her openhearted approach to teaching creates a warm inviting space to discover the joys of these mind-body practices. Lisa is particularly interested in the effects of restorative yoga and its application in supporting wellness and reducing stress and anxiety. She teaches weekly yoga and meditation classes and has a private practice working therapeutically with adults and couples. This works includes 8-week interventions, individual self-practice, yoga mentoring and consulting. Lisa has trained in the applications of mindfulness in clinical settings, including MiCBT and Advanced Training in ACT. Lisa is also a visual artist, who has been exhibiting her paintings since 2000, she loves photography, travel and surfing. Lisa has two young children and enjoys living in the community of Newcastle. Angelique has been teaching Yoga, Meditation and relaxation practices since 2012 and decided to formalise her Yoga qualifications in 2016 through Living Peace Yoga. Having experienced chronic back pain for most of her life, Angelique embraced the practice of yoga as a method to self-manage her condition and improve her overall wellbeing. Angelique is a devoted yoga instructor with an insatiable desire and yearning to learn, grow and empower herself and others through yogic practices, adopting these ancient and powerful tools to help navigate the challenges of modern life. Founder of Peace it Together, Angelique is a level 2 registered yoga teacher with Yoga Australia, a registered member of the Meditation Association of Australia and a Yoga Therapist with over 1000 hours of formal training. She has been a dedicated student of yoga for over 15 years, studying with both local and international teachers such as Ginny Clarke, Hanuman Das, Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews, Paul Wooden, Dr. Ganesh Mohan and his parents A.G Mohan and Indra Mohan of Svastha Yoga & Ayuveda. Angelique teaches regular classes and workshops in the Lake Macquarie region of NSW and is a regular performer of Kirtan (devotional chanting) at Living Peace Yoga in Toronto, NSW.
