The improvement in the health of her entire family motivated Annalisa to research how she could create hair and skin care products which were chemical-free, natural and founded in her ethics of conscience living. Owner-operator Margie Thorpe is a long term Mareeba resident, having lived in the area for 30 years. Margie is Austswim Qualified in Swimming and Water Safety and Infant and Preschool Aquatics. She is also a qualified Swim Australia Teacher and teacher of Learners with Disability. With 15 years experience as a qualified swim teacher Margie also has many years of extensive experience with students with special needs and disabilities. Margie's Swim School has a purpose design and built indoor heated pool to cater for the very young, easily distracted and special needs customers. Ashallow area is also available for toddlers and fearful learners to find their footing and experience the fun and safety issues about being in around water. Water temperature is maintained at a constant recommended 32c to ensure ultimate results for the very young. The pool offers a private and safe environment and small classes allow for individual attention, only one lesson is conducted at a time so there are no distractions. Margie caters for babies from four months through to early primary school,facilities include comfortable change table for baby, change rooms and disabled shower and toilet. The school provides uninterrupted classes all year round without distractions such as other swimmers and poor weather,with protection from cold wind and the suns glare, eliminating the need for sunscreen.
