HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is the most sought after non-surgical painless treatment for skin tightening and lifting. This treatment can be used for the face and body and has virtually no down time. The procedure itself can take 30-120 minutes depending on the area to be treated. HIFU deposits ultrasound energy beneath the skin layers to stimulate the production of new collagen which regenerates the skin. Collagens strengthens body tissues, which helps tightens and skin is firmer. Ultrasound energy is first delivered to dermal layers to stimulate the collagen and then even deeper to the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) to create lift.
