Dinawan’s Connection offer a range of entertaining, interactive learning experiences tailored to suit their audience, including performances, workshops, mentoring and cultural education. Dinawan’s Connection have performed at Dance Rites in the Sydney Opera House Forecourt; at Penrith Panthers NRL matches hosted at Carrington Park, Bathurst; at Group 10 Rugby League Indigenous Round; and numerous events in Cowra, Young and surrounding areas. Members of the group have also performed at the Laura Aboriginal Dance Festival in Cape York, Queensland. Our mission is to share traditional Aboriginal dance and culture with everyone and empower the youth through mentoring. We share the old ways, connecting to Country with respect through dance and stories. Dancing has been part of Aboriginal storytelling for thousands of years. Dance is more than an art form, and storytelling is more than entertainment. The stories of the Dreaming are the stories of the lore, teaching people how to live in harmony with each other and the world around them, and instructing people on their individual and collective natural and social responsibilities. Culture is alive and thriving. Cultural teachings are just as relevant today as they have always been, and stories and teachings have continued to be handed down through the generations. These traditions teach many lessons relevant to contemporary Australian society.

Dr Daniel Bowen PhD (Clinical Psychology) is a Clinical Psychologist registered with The Australian Psychology Board and provides therapy intervention for a broad range of difficulties, across the age spectrum. Therapies are evidence-based, utilising strategies to help people overcome challenges and improve their quality of life. Daniel's approach is empathetic, person-centred, interactive, collaborative, respectful, research- and science-based, and is designed to treat mental illness, relieve distress, restore and enhance functioning, and prevent relapse. Daniel also has a particular interest in identifying strengths, and building resilience and emotional intelligence. Daniel strives to deliver an exceptional level of support and care to his clients. His aim is to empower his clients with the necessary tools to make positive change in their lives and to create successful outcomes.

I'm Claire, a mother of two school-aged children, and a professional counsellor. I have previous experience in the mental health sector, working with severe mental illness and psychosocial disability in my early career. I have worked with people across the lifespan, from ages 4 into their late 60's and beyond. My passion lies in supporting children to overcome obstacles, develop life skills and live to their full potential, as well as supporting parents to build their self-care to ensure the best outcomes for the whole family. I provide support and solutions with the best interest of the client at heart. If you or your child would benefit from non-judgemental support, information and education to build the happiest, healthiest life possible, then i'm here for you. I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association (level 1) and adhere to the ethical requirements of registration as a professional counsellor, including ongoing professional development and clinical supervision. I am also trained to facilitate children's mindfulness interventions both individually and in a group setting.
