On the 28th of April in 1956, Taree Railway Institute Bowling Club was officially opened by R. Winsor ESQ, the Commissioner for Railways. Since then, we have become the go-to spot for lawn bowls, events and delicious food. Our newly renovated Dining Car bistro is bound to have something to your liking, with an assortment of beverages and moreish meals. Watch one of the local games we sponsor at our club bar or try your hand at competition or social bowling. We provide a courtesy bus from Friday to Sunday, so that you can enjoy the full experience of our restaurant, bar and bowls.

The Winning Post Function Centre overlooking the beautiful Bushland Drive Racecourse in Taree is the ideal venue for your special wedding day. Weddings from 50 to 300 people can be comfortably cater for with various room configurations possible to make your room very intimate and special for you and your guests. We would be pleased to show you examples of how other brides and grooms have made their wedding day experience unique and set out to suit their particular requirements. The function centre is also the ideal venue for your conference or special event as broad as your imagination allows. Conferences from 20 to hundreds, business meetings and associated lunches, celebration dinners, clubs or special interest group dinners, school formal dinners and trade exhibitions. These are just selection of some of the events which have been recently held in the function centre. In addition to the main function centre room there are two other function rooms that can comfortably seat 100 people for a sit down dinner and these rooms are regularly booked by organisations conducting training days, business conferences, lunches and dinners.
