Hervey Bay Liquid Waste primarily serves Maryborough in the South, River Heads, all suburbs of Hervey Bay and its surrounding areas, through to Burrum and Howard areas in the North.. We are deeply rooted in this community and have extensive knowledge of the local liquid waste systems. I've just purchased a house in the Fraser Coast.  Do you have any service history for my property?

Chances are - yes we do.  We can look back to see when your septic was last emptied, and/or when your grease trap or sullage tank was last emptied and cleaned.  Check with us

What does it cost to have my septic pumped out ?

Accepted Answer

This depends on your location (suburb) and the capacity of your tank.  If you have no details specific to your tank we can generally identify by photo

How often should my equipment be attended to ?

Accepted Answer

Good question.  On average septics operate fine for 5-7 years.  Grease traps we recommend are cleaned out either 3 monthly or 6 monthly.  Sullage (grey water) tanks should be pumped out once a year.

I know nothing about septics and the like.  Where do I start !?

If you've never owned a property with a septic it may seem a little daunting.  We can email you our handy Guide.  We can also attend your property, give you the 'run-down', plus check the condition of your equipment and advise of any work required.

Question 7

I own a business with a Commercial Grease trap.  What can you do for me ?

Council has a requirement that Commercial grease traps must be cleaned in accordance to their recommendations. We can offer a scheduled pump out and clean, keep track of your due dates and provide reporting to Council as part of our service - Simples.... Note - unlike others - we have NO LOCK IN CONTRACTS....

How do I know when my septic needs emptying ?

Common indications that you have a full septic are: Omitting a strong smell, pooling evident around the tank area, toilets backing up/slow to flush.  Pipework gurgling

I've got a building/development project coming up on the Fraser Coast.  Can you assist with site toilet cleaning ?

Accepted Answer

Not a problem. 1 toilet or 30 - We offer two levels of service - a straight pump out, or a pump, clean and service (PCS).  We also pump out toilet block holding tanks.
