I didn’t do anything wrong! Will you hear me? Can you see me? I am sitting in the darkness, peaceful but alone. It’s not peaceful and my body tells me otherwise. My tears blur what I try to see, so I can’t make sense of it. That critical voice tells me that I am not worth it, and I deserved it, because I am bad. I am screaming and nobody hears me. I am angry and I hurt all over, inside, and out. Will you hear me? Can you see me? I am my family’s secret, an embarrassment to be ignored. I didn’t do anything wrong!
