Barbinda is a small suburb located in the Carins region. Two of the tallest mountains in Queensland - Mount Bellenden Ker and Mount Bartle Frere – are located close just minutes away. Weinerts Creek also flows close near the region.
As a thriving community, Barbinda is home to its’ own theatre, rainforest accommodation hotel, library and many other small businesses. The local Catholic School, St Rita’s, has played an integral part in the community since it opened 1926.
Babinda’s main attraction is the Devil’s Pool, also called the Babinda Boulders, a natural pool formed around boulders where three streams converge.
