Rosemount, located in the Sunshine Coast, is a small suburb near Nambour. Land in the area was mostly used for growing cane in the 1880s. The term “Rosemount” is a variety of cane that originated from Petrie Creek. Because of the suburb’s close proximity to Maroochydore and Nambour, which are urban centres, Rosemount has some residential and rural developments that are highly priced.

The market is filled with items and goods from local businesses. About half of the market is dedicated to selling fresh items including chicken, fish, delicatessen items, vegetables and fruits. There is also a cane train that children can ride throughout the market.
