Ninderry is a suburb in the local government area of Sunshine Coast in Queensland. It is at the immediate south of another suburb, North Arm. While the origin of the name is uncertain, some have theorized that the suburb was named after the Aboriginal word for scrub leeches. One of the attractions near the area is Mt. Ninderry. The mountain is about 300 metres high and offers a great view of the Maroochy River. While the walk to the top is not as difficult as other tracks, the mountain is steep and very rocky in some places. Because of the amount of tourists and outdoor enthusiasts that Mt. Ninderry draws, the suburb is also home to quite a few unique accommodations catered to tourists.
