Mooloolah Valley is located in the state of Queensland on the banks of the Mooloolah River. This is a small town on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. The capital of Queensland is at distance of around 80 kilometres from Mooloolah Valley. The name of the town is taken from an Aboriginal term to describe the dark-coloured fish species that are found abundantly in the river.
Visitors of Mooloolah Valley have access to nature reserves in the region because the State Forest and Dularcha National Park can be found just to the south of the town.
