Montville is a suburban town located in the local government area of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council in the state of Queensland. The suburb’s name was taken from an area in the U.S. state of Connecticut. The earliest inhabitants in Montville arrived during the 1880s. Much of the land in the suburb was primarily used for citrus production, agriculture and timber-getting. Among the tourist attractions in Montville include the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. The suburb is increasingly becoming recognised as a holiday destination for the variety of relaxing activities, including fishing and boating, which are available in the area. Other than vacations, Montville has also emerged as a favourite wedding venue due to its restaurants, resorts, bed and breakfasts and wineries.
