Marcus Beach is a suburb within the local government area of the Shire of Noosa located in Queensland. It is about 10 kilometres to the south of Noosa Heads, which is one of the major centres in the Noosa Region. From 2008 to 2013, Marcus Beach was within the local government area of the Sunshine Coast Region. Some historians think that Marcus Beach was named after Marcus Burke, a property developer. Locals believe otherwise and claim that the suburb was actually named after Henry Marcus. Marcus Beach is near the Noosa National Park, a popular national park situated near Noosa Heads that gets more than 1 million visitors every year. The park has several beaches that are perfect for swimming.
