There is a special kinship with the locals, which began its roots soon after the war. In 1945 600 farming locals decided to establish the Buderim Water Memorial Association, rather than erect a statue monument, they began a living memorial that still operates today.
World renowned for “Buderim Ginger” and noted for it’s quality and mild taste, golden colour and fibre-free consistency Buderim Ginger factory earned global recognition in 1990’s for producing the World's Finest Ginger. Still in operation at Yandina the factory produces everything from packets of scrumptious crystalized ginger to ginger beer!
