Ambrose is a town located in the Gladstone Region of Queensland, along the Bruce Highway. It is a largely rural region which has historically reserved land for cattle grazing. Hut Creek runs close to the Ambrose locality.
The Ambrose State School, which opened in 1914 with only 12 students, continues to play a vital role in the Ambrose community.
Ambrose is a fairly remote rural region. One of the closest accommodation options is the Mid City Motor Inn in Gladstone. The closest airport to Ambrose is also in Gladstone (the closest urban centre to the town).
