Situated in the southern Mackay region, and south of the Whitsundays, the small beachfront community of Armstrong Beach remains a popular tourist spot. The area is famous for it’s fishing and prawning spots.
Picnic areas, BBQ facilities, camping grounds and much more can be found at Armstrong Beach. A caravan park is also located in the region. Just north of Armstrong beach is the historic Freshwater Point.
The closest urban centre to Armstrong Beach is at Sarina, 9.2 km to the west.
