Tallebudgera, formerly called Maybree, is a suburb in the Gold Coast city. The name of the suburb means “good fish”. Tallebudgera is home to a few heritage-listed sites, one of which is the David Fleay Wildlife Park. The park houses several native animals, and the park’s goal is to raise awareness on the protection of animals, especially endangered and rare species. Another attraction in Tallebudgera is Schuster Park filled with gum trees, vast lawns and wide areas where families can hold picnics and let their pets play on the greens. The park also has a variety of birdlife and fishing spots for those looking to relax while enjoying the great outdoors. The trees are what remain from what the timber getters left more than 150 years ago.
