The suburb of Pacific Pines is located between the NNE side of the Nerang National Park and Pacific Motorway (M1), and 18 kilometres northwest of Surfers Paradise in Queensland. It used to be part of the electoral district of Gaven but was classified as a separate suburb in 2003. In the early 1990s, the Stockland Trust Group purchased the 800-hectare site from Rene Rivkin’s Stroika group, and developed it into a residential area with 5,800 lots and various community amenities like parks, taverns and picnic grounds. Since a part of the suburb is situated next to Nerang National Park, it’s a popular spot for various outdoor activities such as bush walking, mountain biking, trail running, horse riding and bird watching.
