Mermaid Beach is situated in the south eastern region of Gold Coast and Hinterland, Queensland. The suburban community is roughly 76 kilometres away from the capital city of Brisbane. Mermaid Beach is geographically bounded by several landscapes and seascapes, such as Stephens Swamp, Big Burleigh and Nerang Head, among others. Mermaid Beach has a number of adjacent tourist spots as well. Some of these are the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Odditorium, which displays touch screen interactives, magic, mystery and strange exhibits, as well as Aquaduck Safaris, which features Surfers Paradise, Tedder Avenue and The Hinterland. The vicinity of Mermaid Beach is mainly connected by the Robina train station and the Gold Coast Airport.
