Labrador is located on the Gold Coast, overlooking the Gold Coast Broadwater and Southport. The suburb is home to cultural sites and heritage buildings. Tourists who visit the Gold Coast can go on the Labrador Heritage Walk, a self-guided tour that includes 21 places of historical significance. The Grand, a hotel built in 2001, now stands where the original Labrador Hotel once stood. The Labrador Hotel, which was built back in 1881, had 15 bedrooms and three sitting rooms but was completely destroyed by a fire years later. Another historical site named after the suburb is the Labrador House, which was built in 1884 on two acres of land.
