Kingsholme is a suburban town located in the local government area of the Gold Coast City in the state of Queensland. The town’s name was supposedly taken from an area in Ireland. Historical records suggest that the first signs of settlement activity in Kingsholme took place in the 1860s. During that time, the suburb’s land was primarily used for industries such as sugarcane production, timber-getting, dairy farming, quarrying and banana farming. Today, Kingsholme has turned into a swiftly developing residential community. The suburb’s major features and landmarks include the Coomera City Centre shopping centre, Tamborine National Park, The Hub shopping centre, Riverhouse Lifestyle Centre, Upper Coomera Village Shopping Centre, Golden Door Health Retreat, Thumm Estate Winery and the John Siganto Park.
