Bordering on the suburb of Parkhurst, set on 12 hectares of land and divided by Limestone Creek is a stunning waterfall backdrop, with gallery, artefacts shop, conference and convention centre making up the Dreamtime Cultural Centre. Onsite there are replica complexes of the Torres Strait Island life including huts and plant-life particular to the area and also the Aboriginal Traditional area, with replica burial site, rock art and traditional ceremonies of the Darambal People. The choice of this particular piece of land is appropriate as it still contains the traditional “ceremonial rings” of the Darambal Tribe, the original occupants of the land.
Capricorn Country Club is situated in Kawana. It is an 18 hole semi private golf club that is bisected by Splitters Creek. Lush green fairways, towering trees and an abundance of bird life, make this a popular place for locals and golfing tours.
