Mount Larcom is part of the Gladstone Region in Queensland. The town is right at the tip of major highways like the Bruce Highway and the Port Curtis Way, making the town easily accessible by either routes. The rural town is known as a farming destination due to the number of farms and crop sites around. Every year, the Mount Larcom and District Show Society organises the annual agricultural show that happens every June. Some of the fun activities in the show include woodchopping, Ute mustering and a gorgeous fireworks display that can be seen across the Mount Larcom area.
There is a public library and a Church in the rural town as well as a public hall that may be found on Raglan Street. The area is near the Rundle Range National Park, where hiking and other outdoor activities may be enjoyed by the visitors. Those looking for nearby beaches for fun and recreation may simply drive to Curtis Island or Balaclava Island near the Mount Larcom area.
